Welcome to mitchmen gateway

Welcome to mitchmen.com, home of Mitchell's Gay Art.

This is my permanent gateway site.
I usually post here once a month, art and photos in praise of male beauty, strictly vanilla.
There's a link in the sidebar to a small public gallery of vanilla drawings by me (gallery last updated Feb 2019).
If you have problems with the link please read this notice.

You can find my more intense and frank work via my regular 'mitchmen' blog
(where I show my own pictures mixed with articles on other gay artists and images that excite me).

There's a 'Gallery Hub ' tab at that blog which has onward links to:-
- All the official mitchmen galleries,
- The mitchmen mailing list (for the latest pictures and stories)
- The permanent mitchmen archive at Adonis Male.

I welcome comments from visitors but please avoid adult references,
I can't approve remarks which are not consistent with the vanilla format of this site
and unfortunately I can't edit your contributions!

Thank you for your interest and support.
Mitchell (Jul 2026).

Ready for the Festivities

Cupid by Gabo

Gabo's Cupid thoughtfully ponders his options for Valentine's Day.

His hairy physique tells us it won't be random shots.

Shall I?

It's the time of year to consider making resolutions to improve oneself.
Hunky Quinton Wynn doesn't look as if he's been doing much wrong to me.

Perhaps he's thinking that he ought to be less eager to take off his clothes for strange men.
Or maybe he's worked out that his chest shave is overdue.
Or perhaps he's thinking that his party outfit over the festive season was a mistake....

Between Two Palms

DW Chase by Calvin Brockington

mitchmen has a thing about patterned briefs and swimwear (click on the label below for more examples). There's something showy about them which suggests the wearer has an interesting character and sweaty, hairy DW Chase is certainly not your average, plastic, fashion model. The decorations on these trunks often contrive to flatter the male figure, I'm not sure whether this one does or not!

Gabo's Astronaut

Gabo - Astronaut

I've always found the wide, round collars of astronaut outfits rather sexy, highlighting as they do the neck curves and short hair of these modern day adventurers. Gabo dresses his make-believe voyager in the reverse combination - helmet, gloves and very little else! These two viewpoints in their different ways both express the contrast between the protective, cloaking qualities of the uniform and the vulnerability of the man inside when operating in deep space.

If you like men you probably find the inaccessibility of the helmet a bit off-putting and it reminds me rather uncomfortably of that Star Trek scene in 'The Wrath Of Khan' where it becomes an improvised cage that the spaceman's head has to share with an eel-like parasite which tunnels into his ear and takes control of his brain. Ugh!

At the other extreme, this style of minimalised dress is typically used by strippers to theme their performances with an iconic, macho identity such as a cop, soldier or workman, using trademark garb that can be kept on as the disrobement proceeds. I can't say I've ever seen an astronaut stripper though. This technique also used to be a titillating feature of underwear advertising in the days when the sight of men in their underpants was slightly shocking (actually it still is in real life, but the media is a world all it's own that makes little effort to reflect the lives of real people these days)

Gabo is an artist who specialises in fan art, recasting male models as idealised images and dressing them up as though they were dolls like Action Men, GI Joes or Barbie's Ken. I like his clean, crisp style which keeps the images in respectable territory. The real life model upon whom this image is based is the oddly named Ardilla Genocida. There's more examples of Gabo Art at my blog for adults.

Just Because

Keon Davis by diamondmenlive.com

In the present situation, I just felt like posting a picture I like
to show that some things are still enjoyable exactly as normal.
I love the 'grow-back ' on this man's chest! (click to expand!)

It must be Winter

Caylan Hughes
Winter has it's compensations - the fun of Christmas, the beauty of frost and snow, skiing the slopes if you are a sporty type, but from a man spotting point of view it's hopeless - it's cover up time.

The caption seems a little belated but Caylan Hughes here defies the weather with a bizarre pair of furry shoulder pads being his only protection from the elements. Of course, in fantasy realms like this it tends to be winter all year round so you have to take advantage of any break in the weather. The image epitomises manly hunkage and Caylan's carefully crafted, hairy highlights are perfect for it.

Hairy Chest Site

A striking contrast to the glamourous fashion models that feature regularly here in swimming trunks and underwear. But this rugged-looking man dressed in working garb is no stranger to the gym either and there are tell-tale signs of body hair 'growback' that suggest he's not as low maintenance as he looks at first sight. Proof though that attractive masculinity comes in many shapes and forms.

Readers of my main blog will know I have a mission to eradicate silly hats from beefcake shoots but in view of the model's stern, challenging look I'll let that pass on this occasion.

Wet 2

Cory Mason photographed by Pat Lee
This heroic image uses water, not to reveal a man's physique, but to create an impression of toughness and resilience which Cory Mason's rugged profile seems completely right for. I find the hair on the point of his chin, seen as an outgrowth and not part of his profile embarrassingly cute!

The impressive, voluptuous dimensions of his chest muscles are flatteringly enhanced by the drawn back singlet (which seems to be squeezing them forward) and by the bright highlight tracing their outline. There's a similar 'bulking up' effect with his right arm and lower torso, which is actually more narrow-waisted than it seems at first sight.

Pat Lee also cleverly uses the light here to capture the droplets of water cascading down Cory's torso and also the hair on his body to the point that you can't tell them apart. There's a similar (dry) hairy phenomenon in my post on Dmitri for Bad Puppy.
The upward looking angle gives the hero authority and together with the water spattered on the camera lens draws us into the scene (I wish!). The addition of a water tower looming menacingly in the background like some alien robot (and seen by us but not by the hero) is witty. It draws the threads of the image together.
If you have a look at Pat Lee's website you'll see he has a knack for capturing rugged masculinity which is not totally dependent on muscularity.

The Face of Maturity

I don't think it matters if you like older men or hairy men, this picture captures a personality. Just terrific! I don't know the artist, the chin line has something of Drawfellas
Can any reader supply an ID?

Note:- Two readers have identified the artist as NM Rosario and there's a link in the comments below

Golden Hair

Body hair is a bit of a vexed subject for admirers of the male form, but I guess a bit of hair at least is a prerequisite for most. Dimitri shown here courtesy of Bad Puppy has light hair over much of his body but it's golden colour allows the photographer to decide how much you see using lighting. However, that detail draws the eye into the curves of his back and shoulder muscles which is what makes this picture truly interesting.

Have a look at my main blog for different takes on body hair and back muscles.

More Hairy Experiments

A rash of body hair suddenly appearing on this model's chest creates a surprisingly erotic effect, his designer stubble has been beefed up too but I think it's the change in eye colour which makes the second image so arresting. As though something strange is reaching out of the picture to you.

This is a more extreme transformation, I love the visual effect of hair swirling over a mans body and the ability it has to enhance his physique. This example shows the ageing effect or perhaps it would be more precise to say maturing effect.

No Hair or Hair?

Hair as a ingredient of male beauty comes and goes and it's past manifestations are fashions soon forgotten, so it's interesting to see how it can alter a man's appearance. This study by an talented, anonymous artist shows how the model Joseph Sayers might look with facial hair.
