Welcome to mitchmen gateway

Welcome to mitchmen.com, home of Mitchell's Gay Art.

This is my permanent gateway site.
I usually post here once a month, art and photos in praise of male beauty, strictly vanilla.
There's a link in the sidebar to a small public gallery of vanilla drawings by me (gallery last updated Feb 2019).
If you have problems with the link please read this notice.

You can find my more intense and frank work via my regular 'mitchmen' blog
(where I show my own pictures mixed with articles on other gay artists and images that excite me).

There's a 'Gallery Hub ' tab at that blog which has onward links to:-
- All the official mitchmen galleries,
- The mitchmen mailing list (for the latest pictures and stories)
- The permanent mitchmen archive at Adonis Male.

I welcome comments from visitors but please avoid adult references,
I can't approve remarks which are not consistent with the vanilla format of this site
and unfortunately I can't edit your contributions!

Thank you for your interest and support.
Mitchell (Jul 2026).

Just Blown In

 March winds and all that!
Looks like a typical UK beach
The model looks like he'd prefer a different sort of blowing

Watery Fate

Photographic models have to get used to being asked to do weird things
Especially if they have well-honed physiques.

Even so, this most unusual modelling assignment involving extremely thick rope the size of an octopus tentacle and a great deal of splashing water while trapped within a cage might have given any young man pause for thought about where exactly all this is headed.

Do You Want To?

Adam Bryant looks suspicious about getting onto this giant bed.
It is broad daylight after all and he only met the photographer an hour ago.
He doesn't look the sort to be messed with.

Anxious Moments

Michael Leonard - Athlete

This intriguing drawing by Michael Leonard seems to be depicting a participant one of those earthy, traditional, wrestling competitions, resting and leaning against a mirror with his pants rolled down for sweaty action. He's gazing off to the side with an expression that might be fear or annoyance. Not an especially handsome man, but very attractive in a masculine way.

Wet, wet, wet, wet

There's a summery, wet thing going on here recently,
what with all the swimmers I've featured.
This contender for wettest T-shirt sombrely marks
the transition into the rainy season and autumn.

Wet shirts always flatter shapely figures
but this takes wetness to a different level.

Sometimes getting wet is fun!
it helps if you're wearing someone else's clothes of course.
I like the way this models abs mirror the quilting of his jacket.
But does that make you think the jacket is waterproof?

 Sometimes getting wet isn't fun!
I'm not sure this is a good advert for a raincoat either.
To me it seems to say "Should have stayed at home".
Still it's a fabulous image.

Getting into the realms of torture here!
(or some hare-brained charity stunt).

Water cascading over men's bodies in showers is a familiar sight
but flooding the face seems much more disturbing
The rivulets draw out the model's facial contours beautifully
but coupled with his less-than-cheerful reaction
there's an uncomfortable comparison with floods of tears.

Problem with links at mitchmen

What Now Boss?
If you arrive at this site via the 'mitchmen.com' address the gallery link in the right sidebar may not work properly, but just display a blank page instead and freeze. I think this is connected with the redirect instruction on the domain name. The problem doesn't happen if you use the mitchmen2.blogspot address to get here.
.
The work around is to click on this gallery link.
(Link verified 1st Feb 2019)
 .
If anyone can advise me of a more elegant solution I'd be glad to hear from you!
Likewise if you still have problems let me know (via comments)

You 'orrible shower!

Dillon Parkes

This image ties in with a couple of themes at this blog of which the most obvious is the watery theme, nicely capturing the thorough drenching of the model. The arms held up in the air allows the interesting speculation for darker minds that this is not a routine hygiene routine but some sort of hazing or punishment under restraint. The curious off-centre cropping helps by creating the impression of an unplanned moment not deliberately posed for publication.

The second theme picked up here is the '15 minutes of fame'. The picture that is the highlight of a model's career. Actually Dillon is a successful model with a disappointing penchant for being photographed with women, but this memorable homoerotic image that pops up everywhere seems to be a unique classic. Searching through his published pictures I have found nothing to match it and discovered that his normal appearance is a good deal more boyish than this picture suggests. Oh well, maybe in a few years.......

Wet Underwear

Diego Sechi photographed by Dylan Rosser

Wetting the skin of a model is a sure way to bring out the contours and details of his body in bright light, but wetting his underwear reveals more than just the secret contours within. A garment intended for civilised modesty instantly fails in contact with this natural element. There's a tantalising sense of sudden exposure here that is amplified by the model's furtive downward look - just to check.

Paradoxically, the wet creases encircling the legs actually increase the impression of tight containment, already created by the brightly coloured hems and waistband. This wet underwear show draws our attention to the lower part of this athlete's body, and the truncation of his legs by the water level brings out the bulky substance and muscular tension of his thighs.

This highly masculine imagery contrasts dramatically with the submissive hands on head pose with which the muscular model submits to the whims of the photographer and the vaguely threatening water, in which he has been instructed to stand. It's a power relationship that always intrigues me, all the more so when the photograph seems intended to demonstrate just who is in control and who is the controlled.

Wrap Up Well

Ryan Monroe

This model's big, big, bulked-up body is accentuated by these brilliant 'wrap around' briefs. The straight cut across the legs makes them resemble shorts which appear to have shrunk in the wash so they barely fit. The striking, lime green colour is an unexpected, flamboyant contrast to the serious, bearded face. Perhaps he'd be more comfortable in something less showy but I'm not complaining.

More patterned briefs

I find this image fascinating. The flowery pattern on these briefs creates a completely different effect to the butch candy stripe in the previous post - softer almost feminine. The model's pose - like the figurehead on an old sailing ship - seems to suggest he's not sure about it either but can't interrupt what he's doing to fix it.

Discomfort

Josey Greenwell

Another model apparently less than happy in his work. (Click on the discomfort label below for others). Maybe it's just the heat, or did the application of oil surprise him? Perhaps he's been told the next pose is a little more challenging. Whatever the case I just love that look that says 'I don't think I'm gonna like this!'.

Panting

Edu Boxer (identified for me by Kris - see comment below)

At mitchmen we like pictures of men who look as though they don't like what they are being asked to do. Particularly when they are going to some lengths to portray themselves as dominant males. Licking a wall must rate pretty high on the list of model's pet hates.
It's for art dear boy!

Hoodies and Rabbits

I like the frightened rabbit look in this picture of Ben Richards.
The hoodie is usually used to suggest streetwise danger, rather than awkwardness.
I like the way it frames his voluptuous torso.
