Welcome to mitchmen gateway

Welcome to mitchmen.com, home of Mitchell's Gay Art.

This is my permanent gateway site.
I usually post here once a month, art and photos in praise of male beauty, strictly vanilla.
There's a link in the sidebar to a small public gallery of vanilla drawings by me (gallery last updated Feb 2019).
If you have problems with the link please read this notice.

You can find my more intense and frank work via my regular 'mitchmen' blog
(where I show my own pictures mixed with articles on other gay artists and images that excite me).

There's a 'Gallery Hub ' tab at that blog which has onward links to:-
- All the official mitchmen galleries,
- The mitchmen mailing list (for the latest pictures and stories)
- The permanent mitchmen archive at Adonis Male.

I welcome comments from visitors but please avoid adult references,
I can't approve remarks which are not consistent with the vanilla format of this site
and unfortunately I can't edit your contributions!

Thank you for your interest and support.
Mitchell (Jul 2026).

Gymnasts

Bruce Sergeant - Two Gymnasts
As the Commonwealth Games near, our thoughts turn to athletes.
This image was part of a spoof art book covering the life and times of Bruce Sergeant and also featuring work by other artists in his circle of friends. It was compiled by Mark Beard a couple of years ago. The art was real enough but it was all created by Beard, the artists in the book and their stories were pure fiction. Leaving the joke aside, the works in the book attributed to Sergeant are all 1930's style depictions of athletes, rowers, gymnasts etc treading much the same  ground as Leyendecker but in a distinctively different style. It's a terrific collection for anyone interested in the male form and sporting life.

Muscle Loving Men

JR Matthews and Jay Roberts
Modern erotic videos generally bypass the romantic side of physical attraction and clothing is rapidly discarded (often in less than the twinkling of an eye). But it is distinctive ingredients like this which attract my interest, not acres of flesh. This image is striking not only for it's expression of man to man tenderness, but also the body-enhancing effect of the clinging T-shirts.
This picture also captures the muscularity of the two models, this time by employing a close up, framing their shoulders. There's a subtle shift of mood to sensuality and desire which is portrayed most sensitively and softly without compromising the masculinity of the lovers.

The Face of Maturity

I don't think it matters if you like older men or hairy men, this picture captures a personality. Just terrific! I don't know the artist, the chin line has something of Drawfellas.
Can any reader supply an ID?

Note:- Two readers have identified the artist as NM Rosario and there's a link in the comments below

Gymnastics

Richard A Wright - Gymnast
The muscularity of gymnasts has always appealed to me and the ring exercises in particular demonstrate marvellous strength. The sport has had a new lease of life in the UK after Louis Smith's exploits in the Olympics and subsequently, but this vintage image by Richard A Wright captures it's enduring masculine appeal.

Muscular Beauty

Sergi Constance by Luis Rafael

It always amazes me how a bulky, muscular guy can have the most slender waist. Sergi Constance combines the chiselled angular facial features of a fashion model with the generously inflated muscle of the beefcake boy. With his spiked hair, designer stubble and daringly-placed tattoo he is a very model male, but the photographer fallen back on classic, traditional garb to accentuate his masculinity - zip-up leather (style) jacket and jeans with a chunky leather belt.

The Archer

Kenya Shimizu - Tiger Tattoo

This picture makes an interesting comparison in style with my recent post on Okutsu.
A simple, male warrior figure set against a textured background and using a similar palette. The composition approach is quite different, slightly unbalanced, which gives a more dynamic feeling. Personally I prefer to see the body rather than the tattoo but the picture would be far less striking without it.

Thanks to Adonis Art for the image

Sporting Hero

Silencio - Do Sports

I don't share the current fascination for fantasy and magic, but I must admit it has given us some great art. This chunky athlete battling for survival against the undead is by Silencio. I particularly like his pugnacious, slightly puppy-fat face and rugby player build.
